What is BALOO?
BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation. It is one of several classes that teach outdoor skills to Adult Scout Leaders, so they can be prepared to take Cub Scouts on outdoor adventures. My job is to make sure they are not eating hot dogs on a stick for 3 meals a day.
Baloo is also one of the characters from Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book." You will find many references to The Jungle Book" in Cub Scouting.
